The Specialist - Business Analyst, Global Development Operations IT will be part of a team committed to identifying and implementing technology solutions that enable all phases of clinical trial execution. In this role, the Business Analyst will learn and demonstrate key skills including process definition and mapping, requirements elicitation and documentation, defining and measuring business value, and user acceptance testing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for understanding business needs, analyzing data, and supporting the development of effective solutions. Key Responsibilities: * Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements. Understand the business process and identify business value/outcome * User Stories: Write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure development teams understand the requirements. Work closely with the technical teams to translate the requirements effectively and help the testing teams write test scripts that cover all scenarios * Agile Practices: Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. * Process Improvement: Assist in identifying areas for process improvement and support the implementation of best practices. * Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. * Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to create Proof of Concepts (POCs) and write code when necessary to validate ideas and complete detailed analysis. Develop strong understanding of existing technologies and business capabilities within the assigned Product Line. * Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, requirements, and project progress. * Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with cross functional stakeholders to build relationship, understand the process and communicate effectively to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals and deliverables. Partners with the Lead Product Managers, Technical Leads, Business Leads, and other IT colleagues as part of a Product Team to review and assess demand requests, explore ideas and enhancements, and evaluate legal / regulatory requirements and ongoing business-driven change initiatives leading to value driven business cases and well-defined implementation plans. * Support Development Teams: Work closely with development teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly. * Testing and Validation: Assist in the testing and validation of new features and functionalities to ensure they meet business requirements. * Industry Trends: Maintain a competitive edge against competitor products and industry trends Desired Candidate Experience: * Agile Knowledge: Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment. * Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. * Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. * Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SQL, Python, UX tools and familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira. * Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams. * Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work. * Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. * Take initiative: Demonstrates openness to learning and developing. Compensation Overview: Princeton - NJ - US: $66,220 - $80,237 The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Eligibility Disclosure* The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program. All global employees full and part-time who are actively employed at and paid directly by BMS at the end of the calendar year are eligible to take advantage of the Global Shutdown.
