This is work that transforms the lives of patients, and the careers of those who do it. # Major Duties and Responsibilities Define and lead the Precision Medicine strategy for China in partnership with global asset teams, China development teams, translational medicine, regulatory, clinical operations, medical, and commercial stakeholders. Develop and execute China-focused Precision Medicine strategies for IVD and biomarker programs, including immunohistochemistry, immunoassay, PCR, next-generation sequencing (NGS), tissue- and blood-based diagnostics, and related bioinformatics approaches. Shape and align China Precision Medicine activities with global Precision Medicine sub-teams to ensure local diagnostic plans both support and inform exploratory, clinical, regulatory, medical, and commercial strategies. Identify, evaluate, and build durable relationships with China-based diagnostic vendors, laboratories, technology providers, and potential partners, and recommend the partnering and sourcing strategies best suited to local and global program needs. Provide strategic oversight of the interface between internal BMS teams and China-based external diagnostic partners, ensuring delivery of critical milestones including assay feasibility, technical development, analytical validation, clinical validation, sample testing, regulatory documentation, and launch readiness where applicable. Shape and support China regulatory, clinical, medical, and commercial planning related to diagnostic products and biomarker implementation, ensuring alignment with global Precision Medicine standards and local China requirements, and informing global standards where China requirements diverge. Serve as the senior Precision Medicine leader and subject matter expert in China, representing and advocating for BMS in interactions with local diagnostic partners, laboratories, regulatory stakeholders, and scientific forums as appropriate. Acquire, synthesize, and disseminate knowledge of the China diagnostic landscape, including vendor capabilities, regulatory expectations, laboratory infrastructure, and emerging precision medicine technologies, translating this intelligence into actionable recommendations for global Precision Medicine and asset teams. Anticipate the evolution of China diagnostic policy and the competitive testing landscape, and advise senior Precision Medicine, Translational Medicine, and China leadership on the resulting risks, opportunities, and investment choices.
