We invite applications from exceptional professionals for the following position. Preference will be given to suitably qualified Botswana citizens.

Requirements

  1. Master’s Degree in Finance, Risk Management, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  2. Minimum of two (3) years’ post-qualification teaching experience at a recognized tertiary institution.
  3. Possession of any of the teaching qualification; Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE), Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education (PGDHE), Master of Higher Education (MHE), or Master of Philosophy in Education and Training (MPhil LLL) is mandatory.
  4. Membership with a relevant professional body, such as the Institute of Risk Management is mandatory.
  5. Experience in curriculum development, programme review, and quality assurance processes will be an added advantage.
  6. Evidence of research, publications, consultancy, or other scholarly activities will be an added advantage.
  7. Experience in academic leadership, student supervision, and industry engagement will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  1. Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, assessment, and academic support to enhance student success and achievement.
  2. Develop, review, and continuously improve teaching materials, learning resources, and curricula in line with industry and professional requirements.
  3. Conduct assessments, provide timely feedback, and monitor student progress to ensure positive learning outcomes.
  4. Undertake academic administrative duties and maintain accurate student records in accordance with University policies and procedures.
  5. Participate actively in faculty, departmental, and institutional committees and contribute to governance and decision-making processes.
  6. Support student recruitment, retention, progression, and graduate employability initiatives.
  7. Engage in research, publications, consultancy, and other scholarly activities that contribute to knowledge creation and the academic reputation of the University.
  8. Supervise student projects, internships, and research activities while fostering industry and community partnerships.
  9. Contribute to programme accreditation, quality enhancement initiatives, curriculum development, and continuous improvement processes.
  10. Promote innovative teaching methodologies, technology-enabled learning, and digital learning practices.
  11. Develop and maintain productive relationships with industry, professional bodies, and other external stakeholders.
  12. Participate in community engagement, outreach activities, and professional development initiatives.
  13. Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and ethical conduct in accordance with Botho University policies and procedures.

  10. Strong knowledge of Finance and Risk Management principles and practices.
  11. Understanding of quality assurance, programme accreditation, and curriculum enhancement processes.
  12. High level of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
  13. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
