Lecturer-Mathematics Education

• Master’s degree in the subject area. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in Primary Education.
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience from the master’s degree
• Experience in designing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate curricula.
• Experience with international academic collaborations is an added advantage.
• Experience in research and publishing, including funded projects.
• Familiarity with digital tools for teaching, learning, and research.

• Deliver the curriculum effectively to meet the expectations of students and other stakeholders.
• Teach assigned University courses and support related programmes within the Faculty/Department where required.
• Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure adequate learning resources and facilities are available for module delivery, including course materials, library resources, hardware, and software.
• Contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning programmes.
• Provide academic guidance and support to students in relation to their progress, attendance, discipline, and career development.
• Prepare adequately for lectures and ensure effective delivery of course content.

• Identify relevant research areas to support academic and institutional development.
• Conduct research and contribute to scholarly activities within the discipline.
• Participate in research projects, publications, journal submissions, and funding initiatives that enhance the University’s academic profile.

• Foster positive and professional working relationships with colleagues and supervisors.
• Promote teamwork, collaboration, and a culture of continuous learning within the department.
• Demonstrate professionalism, respect, and cooperation when engaging with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings, discussions, and collaborative activities.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student and academic records.
