We have an exciting opportunity for an Inspection and Testing Supervisor to join our team in Chilca, Lima. You will be part of our Global Team.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Quality Control Supervision: Supervise quality control operations according to standards, procedures and work instructions, coordinating the work of the Quality Control team and ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
- →NDT and Casting Inspection: Supervise non-destructive testing (MT, UT, VT and other techniques) and visual, hardness and dimensional inspections on castings according to specifications and applicable standards.
- →Laboratory Operations: Supervise operations in the analytical laboratory, melt spectrometers/analysis and sand laboratory, ensuring correct testing methods, accurate results and timely reporting.
- →Procedures and Reporting: Prepare and maintain inspection procedures, ensure that inspections are performed according to specifications, and submit quality control reports, including non-conformances and follow-up actions.
- →Equipment, Safety and Continuous Improvement: Check the general condition and calibration of quality control equipment, keep the work area safe and clean, promote adherence to Safety and 5S, and proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities to reduce waste and improve quality.
- Education: Technical degree, preferably related to engineering, metallurgy, materials or similar fields.
- Experience: At least five years of relevant experience in quality control in foundry environments, including experience supervising quality control personnel.
- Certifications: NDT certifications (for example MT, UT, VT or similar) are required or strongly preferred.
- Background in the industry: Experience in foundry, heavy manufacturing, fabrication or mining wear products is highly valued.
- Language skills: Intermediate or conversational level in English is valued but not mandatory.
