Job Description
- As a Freight Tracker you will be responsible for monitoring and tracking the movement of shipments from origin to destination. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely delivery, maintaining accurate records, and providing updates to stakeholders throughout the shipping process.
Responsibilities:
- Real-time monitoring and tracking of shipments for the company’s clients ensuring the on-time arrival.
- Utilize tracking systems and software to monitor the status and location of shipments.
- Update and maintain accurate records of shipment progress, including departure, transit, and arrival times.
- Proactively identify and address any delays or issues that may impact delivery schedules and notifying the relevant parties to address any problems.
- To be able to provide updates, when necessary, via emails and calls.
- Assisting team members up to executive-level positions relevant to delivering the shipments.
- Provide timely and accurate information to stakeholders regarding estimated arrival times and any changes to delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, logistics personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of shipments.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to delays, missing shipments, or damaged goods.
- Maintain detailed records of shipment tracking activities, including documentation of delivery confirmations, exceptions, and resolutions.
- Verify accuracy of shipment documentation and data inputs to prevent errors and discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with drivers, customers, and team members.
- Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with geographic routing and navigation tools.
- Knowledgeable in using Microsoft Office Applications (teams, outlook, excel, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications for tracking and reporting.
