Position Overview

The Construction Site Coordinator plays a key role in supporting field operations by serving as the communication link between the Operations and Field Superintendent, field crews, Project Management team, and payroll. This position ensures accurate and timely flow of field data that directly impacts job costing, labor tracking, payroll processing, safety compliance, and project execution.

The role is responsible for maintaining accurate project documentation, supporting daily field activities, and ensuring consistency in reporting, safety coordination, and operational execution across multiple job sites located at the airport. This position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, security-controlled construction environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Daily Field Reporting & Communication

In coordination with the Operations and Field Superintendent, the Site Coordinator will:

  • Prepare and submit daily field reports using Raken, including site progress updates, photo documentation, labor tracking tied to payroll and job costing, and documentation of delays, incidents, and field issues
  • Communicate daily field activities clearly to Project Management and payroll
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of field conditions and production activities

 

Payroll, Timekeeping & Cost Tracking

  • Populate, review, and maintain field timecards for accuracy and proper cost coding
  • Coordinate daily labor data flow to payroll for processing
  • Assist with payroll-related corrections, adjustments, and verification of field hours
  • Track labor allocations across multiple airport job sites for accurate job costing
  • Process and track Time & Material (T&M) tickets accurately and in a timely manner

 

Project Coordination & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure data integrity throughout all project phases
  • Assist with coordination between field teams and office staff to align schedules, materials, and scope
  • Support material deliveries, inventory tracking, and site logistics coordination within airport access procedures

 

Airport Site Compliance & Security Requirements

  • Comply with all airport security protocols, badging requirements, and access control procedures
  • Maintain valid airport security credentials or ability to obtain and retain clearance
  • Follow all restricted area, escort, and identification requirements at all times
  • Adhere to all airside/landside separation rules and controlled movement procedures
  • Participate in required airport safety and security training
  • Immediately report any security or access violations to the Superintendent or designated authority

 

Safety & Quality Support

  • Assist in enforcement of the site safety plan alongside the Superintendent and Safety team
  • Assist with quality control checks to ensure work meets project standards and specifications
  • Assist with safety documentation, including uploading Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), submitting required documentation to GC/Owner portals, and tracking compliance requirements

 

General Field Support

  • Provide general field support, including light construction assistance when directed
  • Travel between multiple airport job sites as required (within secured areas as authorized)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Experience in construction, field coordination, payroll support, or related role preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with field crews, supervisors, office staff, and payroll
  • Comfortable using construction technology (Raken, Procore, Bluebeam, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, security-controlled environment
  • Reliable transportation and ability to access airport job sites
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required
  • Ability to pass drug screen and background check

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
  • Experience working in airport or secured construction environments
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
  • Familiarity with construction sequencing and field operations
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings (plans, sections, elevations, details)
  • Experience in commercial construction environments
  • Knowledge of tile and stone installation processes
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is strongly preferred

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform physical activity during site visits
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to weather, noise, and construction activity
  • Ability to safely handle materials, tools, and equipment
  • Use of computer, tablet, and mobile devices for documentation and reporting

 

Conditions of Employment

  • Must have valid work authorization
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must pass drug screening and background check
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain airport security clearance/badging
  • Must comply with all airport authority and TSA security requirements
  • Must be flexible with working hours
  • Must be able to travel between multiple airport job sites within secured areas
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required for work-related driving
