Bremer Whyte Brown & O'Meara, LLP is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our award-winning team in our Newport Beach office. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will have an essential role in supporting our financial operations and contributing to our continued success.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Generate client invoices and assist with collections
- →Submit statements, run reports, create file profiles, and enter initial budgets and budget updates in various platforms
- →Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- →Respond to vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor accounts against statements and payment transactions
- →Submit new billings and email appeals to the appropriate attorney for review
- →Assist with month-end closing processes and procedures
- →Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations as well as Firm policies and procedures
- →Code documents according to Firm procedures
- →Identify and report discrepancies
- →Perform routine account reconciliation, data entry, and maintain spreadsheets
- →Cross-train in other areas of Accounting and Finance as directed
- →Assist with miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned
- →Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required (or Bachelor's degree in progress)
- →Minimum of 1 year of experience in data entry or an office environment, preferably in a law firm or legal setting
- →Proficiency with technology and ability to quickly learn new systems and applications
- →Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- →Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- →Good communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- →Ability to interact with others in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner
- →Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and work independently as well as part of a team
- →Experience with legal billing and document management software (TABS, NetDocuments, Legal Exchange, etc.) is a plus

The expected base salary range is $21 - $24/hr, depending upon experience.
