Pay Band: 7 Country/Location: Noida, India Department: GSS English & Exams (IELTS Operations) Contract Type: Fixed term contract Contract Duration: One year Closing Date: Thursday, 11 June 2026- 23:59 Philippine Time (GMT +8) Role Description/Purpose The role holder is expected to provide financial, governance, risk, and practical operational support for programmes or projects within the English and Exams business. This role ensures that the project document library is maintained and that project artefacts comply with British Council standards. The role holder will also support the onboarding of new project team members. The role requires the ability to build highly effective working relationships with stakeholders to ensure governance is effective, as well as to act as a key source of project information and metrics. Role Accountabilities We are seeking a highly organised and proactive professional to support the delivery of programmes and projects within the English & Exams business. In this role, you will work closely with global and regional colleagues to track progress and ensure deliverables are achieved, while managing project plans in response to evolving requirements, operational changes, and external factors. You will provide quality assurance across programme and project outputs, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and high standards. The role also involves maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date project documentation and knowledge management systems, supporting governance activities, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness across delivery. You will build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with internal stakeholders to enable successful project outcomes, while also supporting budget monitoring, resource planning, and reporting using corporate systems and processes. Acting as a key source of project information and metrics, you will help ensure effective governance, risk management, and timely delivery. Additionally, you will contribute to financial forecasting and modelling, provide logistical support across assigned programmes and projects, and play an active role in strengthening the Strategy & Change Delivery portfolio by identifying improvements and offering expert input. Qualifications & Experience * Education: Degree level qualification or equivalent professional experience. * Demonstrable experience of working with complex global programmes and/or projects, both technical and process driven. * Demonstrates experience of the ability to plan, structure and manage the ‘hard scope’ of a programme that delivers tangible outputs through documentation, systems and assets AND the ‘soft scope’ of engaging people and managing effective change through engagement and communication skills, benefits tracking and realisation. * Demonstrable experience of proactively monitoring and keeping programmes on track by flagging risks and issues by exception. * Demonstrable experience of managing a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels to further the delivery of the programme and/or project. Role specific skills * Good IT skills: MS Office365/MS Project (or similar)/Finance SAP * Good communication and interpersonal skills Further Information Language: The British Council systems and global processes operate in English. Written and verbal proficiency in English is required. Right to Work: Locally recruited Applications are welcomed from candidates currently in this location with a natural right to work. BHC will not be able to sponsor work visas or obtain/ assist with the special work permit from GOI. Offers of employment made to OCI card holders will be conditional upon candidates obtaining a special work permit.
