Teach 15–21 contact hours per term in biology courses based on college needs, with a primary focus on Anatomy & Physiology and Pathophysiology; this is a year-round position.
Master’s degree in biology or other course-specific discipline Successful teaching experience at the college level, and dynamic and engaging classroom skills as reflected in classroom observations, student evaluations, course documentation, etc.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Teach 15–21 contact hours per term in biology courses based on college needs, with a primary focus on Anatomy & Physiology and Pathophysiology; this is a year-round position.
- →Create a dynamic, engaging, and learner-centered classroom environment, incorporating digital learning platforms in meaningful ways.
- →Ensure instructional effectiveness and model lifelong learning through ongoing professional development.
- →Provide academic support, including skills assistance and tutoring in biology, as well as general student support as needed.
- →Develop, implement, and assess strategies to improve student retention and success.
- →Utilize virtual conferencing platforms effectively to support students in a remote environment.
- →Support the integration of science skills across the curriculum and contribute to the development of subject-specific learning activities.
- →Assist with curriculum development and ensure courses align with student success outcomes.
- →Support laboratory operations, including maintenance and supply inventory.
- →Contribute to building industry connections and promote employability skills within the classroom.
- →Serve on campus committees and actively participate in campus events.
- →Attend and actively participate in regular department meetings and faculty in-service sessions.
- →Maintain availability to teach both day and evening classes at Wisconsin market campuses.
Requirements
~1 min read- Master’s degree in biology or other course-specific discipline
- Successful teaching experience at the college level, and dynamic and engaging classroom skills as reflected in classroom observations, student evaluations, course documentation, etc.
- Knowledge of general Microsoft computer software, online publisher platforms, and student management platforms (i.e., Blackboard). Ability to quickly adapt to new platforms.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and student success

- Strong team player
- Ability to make meaningful and positive connections with a diverse student body in a career college environment
