FACILITIES & FLEET MANAGER

Reports to: Operations Manager
Location: Cul De Sac – CPJ St. Lucia Ltd

CPJ St. Lucia Ltd, a leading Food & Beverage Distribution and Retail Company, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Facilities & Fleet Manager.

This is a key operational leadership role responsible for the effective management of all company facilities, infrastructure, plant, equipment, and fleet assets to ensure operational continuity, regulatory compliance, asset protection, and cost efficiency across the business.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Facilities & Fleet Manager will lead the planning and execution of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programmes across warehouse, retail, office, cold storage, and fleet operations. The role is accountable for asset lifecycle management, fleet reliability, contractor oversight, safety compliance, and the development of structured Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure measurable service standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.  Facilities & Infrastructure Management

• Develop and implement structured maintenance programmes to minimize downtime
• Oversee maintenance of refrigeration systems, generators, warehouses, retail locations, and other infrastructure
• Maintain asset registers, service records, and maintenance documentation
• Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and equipment replacement

2.  Fleet Management

• Oversee vehicle servicing, inspections, licensing, and regulatory compliance
• Monitor fuel usage, maintenance costs, and fleet utilization
• Develop fleet lifecycle and replacement plans
• Coordinate accident reporting and insurance claims

3.  Service Level Agreements & Performance Management

• Develop and monitor SLAs for facilities and fleet services
• Define response times, performance standards, and measurable KPIs
• Provide structured reporting to support operational decision-making

4.  Capital Planning & Cost Control

• Support maintenance and fleet-related CapEx planning
• Provide technical input for asset repair or replacement decisions
• Identify cost-efficiency and energy-saving initiatives

5.  Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and statutory inspection requirements
• Implement safe systems of work and mitigate operational risk

6.  Contractor Management

• Engage and manage external contractors and service providers
• Monitor service quality, safety adherence, and cost discipline

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Facilities Management, Automotive Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Professional certification in Facilities Management or Maintenance Management would be an asset
• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in facilities and/or fleet management
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, industrial equipment, and fleet operations
• Experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution environments is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and regulatory compliance requirements
• Experience managing contractors, service providers, and maintenance budgets
