About the role
Reporting to the senior financial accountant, you’ll support day-to-day finance operations and help deliver accurate, timely reporting. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn on the job, develop your technical capability, and contribute to month-end, tax compliance, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting day-to-day financial operations, including cashflow monitoring and intercompany transactions.
- Assisting with month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
- Contributing to financial and management reporting.
- Supporting GST, FBT, and other compliance requirements.
- Maintaining core finance processes, including the fixed asset register.
- Contributing to systems improvements, automation initiatives, and ad hoc projects.
About you:
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Ideally two years' accounting experience gained in New Zealand.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
- A high level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.
- A collaborative, proactive approach, with strong communication and interpersonal skills, a growth mindset, and the adaptability to thrive in a changing environment.
- An interest in continuous improvement and working towards CA/CPA, or progress already underway, would be an advantage.
