We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Manager to join our Logistics Team. Reporting into the Logistics Manager, you will take ownership of site maintenance and reliability across our Derrimut distribution centre. You’ll lead maintenance operations, oversee contractors, and drive continuous improvement across assets to maximise equipment performance and minimise cost.
What’s the Scoop?
- Lead the implementation of the site reliability strategy and maintenance planning systems
- Ensure plant and equipment are maintained to meet operational and statutory requirements
- Monitor and improve asset performance, availability and efficiency (OEE)
- Analyse performance data and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage contractor performance, compliance and relationships
- Partner closely with operations, safety, quality and engineering teams
- Communicate performance and KPIs through site management systems
- Manage maintenance budgets and cost performance
- Support capital planning, asset replacement and reliability improvements
- Ensure maintenance activities are planned, scheduled and delivered effectively
- Champion a proactive safety culture aligned with OH&S standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP and quality requirements
- Support site-wide safety, quality and operational objectives
What You’ll Bring:
You are a hands-on operational leader with strong technical capability and a passion for driving reliability and performance
- At least 5 years’ experience in maintenance management within manufacturing or operations
- Strong background in engineering or trade (mechanical, electrical, mechatronic or similar)
- Proven success improving asset performance and operational outcomes
- Experience in food manufacturing (highly regarded)
- Strong leadership with the ability to influence and drive change
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capability
- Ability to manage complex operations, competing priorities and continuous improvement initiatives
- High level of integrity and accountability
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
