Senior Accountant

Fantastic opportunity to join an established accounting firm headquartered in downtown Calgary. Our client has an immediate need for a new Senior Accountant. As a small-to-mid-size firm, this position requires a “Hands-On” approach to every client interaction, from the introduction of services to an overview of expectations and the completion of the file. You will independently manage files that are assigned; including meeting deadlines, taking part in year-end meetings and researching accounting and tax technical issues, assist junior staff in the completion of their work and development of their technical abilities, preparation of compilation engagements including completion of all working papers, adjusting journal entries, and financial statements and preparation of review engagements and tax planning for corporate clients including completion of personal and corporate tax returns.

To qualify for this position, you will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a public accounting firm, have fluid communication skills, be organized and be able to show a solid daily work plan and be comfortable communicating with client queries. Ideally, you will have completed a Bachelor’s degree and be well on your way to achieving the CPA or recently designated.
