Crane Operator & Rigger

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor (or nominee), the successful applicants will be responsible for supporting safe and efficient maintenance operations across the factory site.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating non-slewing and overhead cranes

• Planning and carrying out safe lifting operations using rigging equipment, overhead cranes and mobile cranes

• Operating and maintaining lifting equipment and associated safety equipment

• Following risk management procedures to ensure all lifting work is completed safely

• Inspecting equipment and reporting defects or maintenance requirements

• Recording operational and maintenance information as required

• Actively participating in safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities

• Working cooperatively with maintenance and production teams to support factory production targets

To be successful in one of these roles, you will ideally possess:

• Experience within sugar milling, refinery, maintenance or heavy industrial environments

• Current driver’s licence

• High Risk Work Licences relevant to the role, including:

o Non-Slewing Crane (CN)

o Dogging (DG)

o Rigging Intermediate (RI)

o Forklift (LF)

• Experience operating cranes and lifting equipment

• Loader and Bobcat operation experience would be advantageous

• Strong commitment to workplace safety

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to manage priorities and work efficiently under pressure

• A proactive attitude with a strong work ethic and “can do” mindset
