About the Role
~2 min readWe're hiring a Content Lead to own content and storytelling across Bunkerhill. The most compelling stories we can tell are the ones happening inside our customer health systems—at Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, UTMB Health, and a growing list of others—and finding and telling them well sits at the heart of this role. But you will also own thought leadership in partnership with our co-founders, the copy across our owned channels, and how all of it gets distributed. Your goal is to put Bunkerhill in front of the next 100 health systems we want to work with.
This is not a traditional content marketing role. You will not be handed a content calendar or asked to execute against pre-defined briefs. Your audience is the C-suite at health systems that don't yet know us—health system CEOs, CIOs, CMOs, and Chief AI Officers. Your raw material is the day-to-day work of physicians and operators inside Carebricks deployments, the points of view of our co-founders, and the developments we ship as a company. Your job is to translate all of it into content that drives visibility with our next cohort of buyers.
You will also own distribution, ensuring that what we produce shows up in the market and creates pull. We care less about hitting a fixed number of posts and more about producing the right amount of content that meaningfully moves how the market sees us.
This is a high-ownership role. You will define how content gets created, how it gets distributed, and how the system improves over time.
Responsibilities
~1 min readOwn end-to-end content creation across formats and channels: case studies, thought leadership, op-eds, blog, social, video, webinars, press releases, website copy, and more
Customer stories are the most compelling content we can produce, and finding and telling them well sits at the center of this role. Build genuine relationships with clinicians, operators, and champions inside our customer health systems; run deep interviews and find the angles that aren't obvious from the outside
Develop thought leadership and POV-driven pieces in partnership with our co-founders—take their stubs and ideas and turn them into content that stands on its own and lands with the market
Own copy across our website, blog, and other owned channels—keeping it clear, on-message, and current
Partner closely with forward-deployed engineers, founders, and internal teams to surface product developments, deployments, and real-world impact worth amplifying
Amplify Bunkerhill's point of view through every piece you create; you're not here to invent the narrative, you're here to be its strongest voice
Maintain a high bar for storytelling, clarity, and usefulness—AI should assist your thinking, not replace it
Own distribution across channels (LinkedIn, blog, website, podcasts, etc.)—determine the right cadence, channels, and formats based on what actually moves the audience you're targeting
Repurpose core content into multiple formats to maximize reach and impact
Define and prioritize the content roadmap based on company priorities, product momentum, and market opportunities
Partner with leadership to shape voice and presence, especially for founder-led content
Own earned media outreach—identify the stories with the biggest visibility upside and pitch the right outlets for them, which could range from trade publications to regional press to broadcast to tier-1 national outlets depending on the story. Leverage PR contractors and agencies as appropriate.
Track and measure content performance across channels—identify what's working and what's not, double down on what's driving visibility, and cut or rework what isn't
Build AI-assisted workflows that let you operate with maximum leverage—accelerating the path from raw inputs (calls, transcripts, product updates) to draft content while keeping your editorial judgment at the center
Use AI to translate strong content across formats (a case study becomes a LinkedIn post, a podcast clip, an email newsletter) and to keep voice, tone, and positioning consistent across everything you ship
Maintain shared infrastructure (brand voice, narrative pillars, customer outcome libraries) that AI tools can draw on to keep output on-brand and aligned with our key messages
Treat your AI workflows as living systems—iterate on prompts, skills, and structures as you learn what works
Continuously reduce manual and operational work so your time goes to the irreplaceable parts: customer relationships, story discovery, and editorial judgment
You spike on storytelling—you can find the angle in a customer conversation that nobody else would, and you can also take a half-formed idea from a founder and turn it into a thought leadership piece that stands on its own
You take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks
You are a strong communicator and writer, able to translate complex technical and clinical work into clear, compelling narratives
You are excited to fly to a health system on short notice to spend a day with a clinical champion if that's what the story requires
You move quickly, ship reliably, and don't get stuck making everything perfect
You see AI as a system to be designed and refined—not a tool to be queried—and you actively iterate on your workflows as you learn what works
You're comfortable owning the unglamorous work: writing a LinkedIn post on a Tuesday, briefing a contractor on visuals, updating homepage copy. The leverage comes from owning the full surface, not just the marquee pieces.
You think in systems and instinctively look for ways to make processes more efficient and scalable
Requirements
~1 min readA track record of high-quality content you owned end-to-end—from finding the angle through development to distribution—across multiple formats. Customer-led work where you owned the relationship and the story is especially valuable; we'll want to see examples.
Hands-on experience using AI tools to build workflows that meaningfully augment your output, not just to draft faster
Comfort working directly with external customers, operators, and technical teams to extract insight
Strong organizational skills and ability to structure information across multiple domains (e.g., messaging, customer outcomes, content pipelines)
Ability to operate with high autonomy in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
A bias toward shipping reliably—not perfection, not delay
Eagerness to travel meaningfully for customer engagement and on-site content development. This is the kind of role where you might fly to Galveston on Tuesday to spend a day with a cardiologist if that's where the story is.
SF-based, in-office 3+ days per week
Note: We care much more about demonstrated capability and ownership than specific years of experience or traditional titles.
