About the Role 
We are embarking on a major transformation—migrating our core workloads from AWS to Microsoft Azure. We’re looking for a highly experienced Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to lead this initiative, design and implement our Azure landing zone, and elevate our automation, reliability, and security practices. 

Location: Hybrid/Onsite, Zagreb or Varaždin

Key Responsibilities  

• Design and implement Azure foundations using Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework (identity, networking, governance, guardrails).  

• Lead AWS-to-Azure migration planning and execution, including discovery, wave planning, and cutover strategies in collaboration with our existing team 

• Build Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform for scalable, repeatable deployments.  

• Deploy and manage AKS clusters, Helm charts, and container registries (ACR).  

• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.  

• Implement observability with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.  

• Ensure security and compliance through RBAC, policies, Key Vault, and Defender for Cloud.  

• Mentor engineering teams and DevOps team on Azure best practices and DevOps principles.  

What We’re Looking For  

• 8+ years in DevOps/SRE roles with deep Azure expertise and proven experience in large-scale migrations.  

• Strong proficiency in Terraform, CI/CD automation, and scripting (PowerShell/Python).  

• Hands-on experience with AKS in production environments.  

• Solid understanding of observability, governance, and cost optimization in Azure.  

• Familiarity with AWS services and migration strategies.  

• Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400).  

• Experience with data platform migrations (Cosmos DB for PostgreSQL, Synapse).  

• Experience with event driven architecture, processing queues, distributing data to multiple consumers and vectorization process 

• Knowledge of regulated environments and zero-trust security models.
