Our spectrum of home-based services now includes Skilled Home Health Care, Palliative Care, Adult Hospice Care and Pediatric Care. Our team approach strives to address practical, social, emotional and spiritual aspects of care, with the goal to maximize quality of life for our patients, caregivers and families.

We are looking for a Chief Medical Officer who will be responsible for providing strategic, clinical, and operational leadership across the organization’s patient care services. The CMO oversees all medical activities, physician and advanced practice provider engagement, quality and clinical excellence initiatives, regulatory compliance, and medical administrative functions in alignment with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 5:00pm

Larkspur, CA

By the Bay Health follows all CDPH vaccine requirements for healthcare personnel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Assures overall continuity of the hospice medical services.
Assures the patient receives appropriate measures to control uncomfortable symptoms.
Re-certify patients, as appropriate, for continuation of Medicare Hospice benefit at appropriate levels of care.
Serving as a medical resource to Hospice staff, patients, families, and attending physicians regarding pain and symptom management.
  • Licensed physician under the provisions of the California Business and Professions Code
  • Board certification from American Board of Hospice & Palliative medicine preferred or to be achieved within two years of employment.
  • Demonstrated understanding and acceptance of hospice principles of care.
  • Current and active medical physician license in the state of California
  • Current DEA license
  • Current California Driver’s license and automobile insurance that meets the State of California requirement, if driving a car.

Pay Range:
$320K - $365K annually
