The Bereavement Services Manager provides organization-wide leadership for the bereavement programs across our agencies. The Manager establishes, implements, coordinates, and evaluates bereavement services across all our hospice agencies to promote consistent quality while supporting the needs of each local community. This role is also responsible for the planning and execution of the organization’s annual children’s bereavement camp.

Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 5:00pm

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for bereavement services across the enterprise ensuring high-quality, compliant services within approved fiscal parameters
- Develop and implement organization-wide standards, workflows, policies, and measures for bereavement services while supporting appropriate local practices that reflect the needs of each agency and community
- Ensure effective use of volunteers in bereavement services and the annual children’s bereavement camp in coordination with Volunteer Services leadership and local agency teams
- Assist the designated executive leader in developing the annual bereavement services and children’s bereavement camp budgets, and monitor resources across all agencies within approved budgetary limitations
- Lead and supervise the planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of services provided by the bereavement teams across the enterprise
- Master’s degree in mental health from an accredited university
- Minimum of five years clinical experience, preferably in a health care setting providing clinical services in the areas of life‑threatening and chronic illness, grief, and loss, individual, family and group therapy
- Minimum of two years’ experience managing mental health, bereavement, or related clinical services preferred
- Experience leading teams or programs across multiple locations or agencies
- Experience with children’s grief programs or camps are strongly preferred
- Current license in mental health by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
- Certification to provide clinical supervision as outlined by the Board of Behavioral Sciences
Pay Range:
$110K - $125K annually
