OVERVIEW

The Cache County Sheriff's Office invites candidates to apply for a Code Enforcement Officer position. The Code Enforcement Officer performs civilian enforcement of municipal codes within contract cities served by the Cache County Sheriff's Office.

This is a full-time, benefited position. All benefits start on the first day! Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k, Utah Retirement System, 14 paid holidays, and 18 days of Personal Leave in the first year.

This position is responsible for identifying, documenting, and enforcing city ordinances related to public nuisances, zoning, parking, property maintenance, and related infractions. The position operates independently in the field and coordinates with deputies when enforcement situations escalate beyond the scope of civil or infraction-level authority.

Education and Experience: Graduation from high school or GED; AND one year of experience involving law enforcement, code enforcement, municipal government experience, or a closely related field.
