This position follows a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of 2 days onsite, though this requirement may vary based on business and operational needs.   Primary Focus We are seeking to fill a current opening on our Pharmaceutical Policy and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) team. Reporting to the Manager, Program and Policy Development within the Pharmaceutical Policy and HTA directorate, the Program Development Officer will be responsible for supporting the development of, and defining the corresponding deliverables for, projects focused on pharmaceuticals.   You will work closely with internal project teams and federal, provincial, and territorial public drug plans to ensure an ongoing focus on meeting the needs of federal, provincial, and territorial health care decision-makers. The Program Development Officer is also responsible for finding the balance that matches customer needs with the feasibility of the request.   What do the daily responsibilities look like? On any given day, the Program Development Officer will: ensure that CDA-AMC products in the drug portfolio support customer decision-making needs by: leading topic development for evidence reviews, advice products, and reimbursement reviews via dialogue with clinical experts, public drug plans, and proactive literature reviews consulting and dialoguing with representatives from publicly funded federal, provincial, and territorial drug benefit plans in Canada; clinical experts; and appropriate internal staff, developing project proposals including the specific deliverables for projects (e.g., reports, recommendations, and tools) to maximize impact monitoring the project throughout its life cycle ensuring the deliverable continues to meet customer needs working collaboratively with internal teams to promote the delivery, uptake, and impact of the deliverable. be fully informed of key interested parties (e.g., clinical experts, advocates, and disease specialty groups) to participate in topic identification and development of projects act as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to the assigned priority areas in the program and policy development portfolio work with the Manager, Program and Policy Development to support the pharmaceutical advisory committees by preparing background briefing materials, leading and/or participating in meetings, liaising with committee members, presenting materials, and performing other duties, as required represent the organization nationally and/or internationally, upon request, at meetings, conferences, and other events and provide presentations on relevant priority areas of research work with a multidisciplinary team to design, implement, maintain, and improve pharmaceutical HTA projects and tools maintain and update project workplans and ensure all relevant parties stay informed collect, track, and analyze internal and external data to support initiatives and program evaluation interpret health care data and summarize trends to inform decision-making.   Additional accountabilities will include: prepare presentations, briefing notes, background materials, and other documents needed for meetings or decision‑making build relationships and communicate with federal, provincial, and territorial decision-makers and other key partners support engagement activities by taking meeting notes, summarizing feedback, and following up on action items track and report on the progress of pharmaceutical HTA initiatives throughout their life cycle ensure deliverables continue to meet key partner needs and align with organizational priorities provide regular project status updates to support effective planning and compliance with organizational processes.   Is this the right role for you? The Program Development Officer will likely have: completed a graduate degree in a health-related discipline (e.g., health sciences, pharmacy, medicine, health services research, quality improvement) knowledge and understanding of drug therapy, pharmacoeconomic and drug evaluation principles, and how best to maximize the uptake and impact of evidence-based information in the health sector   knowledge and experience in research methods used in the development and application of HTAs an understanding of the health care system in Canada and knowledge of the decision-making processes within the federal, provincial, and territorial jurisdictions   strong writing, presentation, communication, and facilitation skills, together with solid planning and analytical skills   strong customer service orientation, with the ability to communicate and build collaborative and productive relationships with a variety of partners experience managing multiple tasks, with the ability to manage and facilitate change   conceptual thinking skills to promote systems thinking and identify trends and process improvements   the ability to thrive and effectively identify potential solutions in situations characterized by uncertainty or ambiguity.     What will set you apart?
