Role Purpose:
· Define and own the Future State Business Architecture (FSA) for regulatory reporting in the controllership value stream covering:
Capabilities, Services, Processes
· Act as the business representative in the technology and data architecture definition to ensure the Future State Architecture (FSA) supports the value stream objectives
· Support the Value Streams in the detailed design of FSA aligned Capabilities, Services and Processes
· Establish and manage business design governance across the Value Stream
· Ensure exceptions to the defined FSA business architecture are recorded and managed in the Value Stream
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities :
· Define, document and maintain the Future State Business Architecture (FSA) for regulatory reporting in the controllership value stream, covering end-to-end capabilities, services and processes.
· Translate Finance strategy, regulatory needs and value stream objectives into a coherent target operating model and business architecture blueprint.
· Ensure the architecture is outcome-led (e.g. control, efficiency, data quality, customer/ service impact) and measurable through agreed success metrics. Business representation into Technology, Data and AI architecture
· Act as the Finance value stream business representative in technology, data and AI architecture forums to ensure solution designs align to the FSA and business outcomes.
· Provide clear business requirements, constraints and priorities to architecture and engineering teams; challenge designs where they don’t meet Finance objectives or create unnecessary complexity.
· Partner with Technology/ Data/ AI architects to ensure consistent definitions for key data entities, lineage, controls, and usage across the value stream. Design support and delivery enablement
· Support value stream teams in the detailed design of FSA-aligned capabilities, services and processes, ensuring traceability from strategy → architecture → delivery backlog.
· Provide architecture input into delivery planning, including epics/features, dependencies, sequencing, and
acceptance criteria.
· Identify cross-domain impacts (process, data, controls, people) and drive resolution with relevant stakeholders.
Stakeholder management and communication
· Engage and influence senior Finance stakeholders, Value Stream leads, Product Owners, Technology/ Data/ AI architects, and change teams to secure alignment and timely decisions. · Communicate complex architecture topics in clear business language, including trade-offs, risks, and recommended options. Continuous improvement · Drive simplification and standardisation of Finance processes and data structures through reuse of common capabilities and services. Promote best practice in business architecture methods and tooling; coach teams on consistent adoption and quality of artefacts
