Direct Sales Agent

Kolomoni Microfinance Institution (Gambia) is a CBG-licensed microfinance institution serving customers across The Gambia. We are recruiting Direct Sales Agents to grow our customer base across communities and markets. THE ROLE You will acquire and activate personal customers, funded wallets and cards — and help them start using Kolomoni safely and regularly. It is a field role, working assigned routes, communities and campaigns. A dormant account is not an acquisition, so the job is not finished when the account is opened. WHAT YOU WILL DO Prospect eligible customers within your assigned routes, communities and campaigns. Explain account, wallet, card, payment and savings propositions clearly and accurately. Support compliant onboarding and collect complete customer information and documentation. Help customers fund their accounts, complete their first transactions and use services safely. Promote card activation and appropriate use — without misrepresentation or pressure selling. Provide basic post-onboarding help and refer complex cases to Support. Keep accurate daily activity records and escalate fraud, impersonation or identity concerns immediately. Requirements WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Prior sales, customer service, community mobilisation, mobile money or field marketing experience is preferred. Strong entry-level candidates will be considered after assessment and certification. WASSCE, diploma or equivalent. Training in sales, customer service, digital finance or marketing is an advantage. Basic understanding of digital finance, mobile money and customer onboarding. Local-language fluency and genuine knowledge of your community and market. Energy, persistence, patience with customers, and absolute integrity in handling customer information.
