The Animal Technician will be responsible for performing in vivo studies including compound dosing, sample collection and analysis for data generation. The position will afford the opportunity to work alongside a highly dynamic and collaborative team to develop an entirely new therapeutic modality.

In Vivo Procedures 

  • Perform rodent dosing studies via intraperitoneal (IP), subcutaneous (SC), intramuscular (IM), and intratumoral (IT) routes 
  • Administer compounds by intravenous (IV) injection — required proficiency 
  • Collect biological specimens including blood via submandibular and/or cardiac puncture 
  • Conduct necropsies and tissue collection in accordance with approved protocols 
  • Support the preclinical team with daily in vivo activities and experimental procedures 
  • Maintain breeding colonies, husbandry programs, and genotyping workflows 
  • Collect and process genotyping samples; support genotyping assay development 
  • Adhere to IACUC-approved protocols, policies, and all applicable regulatory requirements 
  • Follow established SOPs and research guidelines governing animal care and facility operations 
  • Collect experimental data including body weight, blood analyses, and other project-specific measurements 
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all procedures, observations, and results 
  •  
  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field, or equivalent hands-on research experience 
  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience working with rodent models in a research or pharmaceutical industry 
  • Significant experience working with rodent models in a research or pharmaceutical setting 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with standard animal handling protocols and facility safety practices 
  • Familiarity with animal husbandry systems, welfare regulations, and institutional policies
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to learn and contribute to organizational goals
  • Adaptable, with a firm commitment to scientific rigor and excellence
  • Highly collaborative; thrives in multidisciplinary, fast-paced research environments
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
