In Corporate Operational Risk, our purpose is to govern, oversee, and continually improve the operational risk program through supporting and challenging business partners and raising risk awareness and understanding to improve risk-based decision making. We look to minimize operational risk impacts across all of the firm and its subsidiaries and affiliates. We do this through fostering a risk culture consistent with the core values of the firm of loyalty, One Schwab, operating discipline and innovation.

Help Schwab strengthen how it protects and governs one of its most important assets: data.

As a Manager, Data Risk Analyst, you will help advance a practical, enterprise-wide approach to data governance risk. This is an opportunity to build broad partnerships, contribute to high-visibility risk work, and grow your knowledge at the intersection of business, technology, data, and operational risk. In this role you will:

  • Partner with business leaders to identify, assess, and monitor data governance risks, including risks that are emerging as the business and technology landscape changes.

  • Provide thoughtful, independent challenge on how business teams address data risk, helping strengthen decisions, controls, and accountability.

  • Contribute a data risk perspective to cross-functional projects and product reviews so that risk considerations are understood early and addressed effectively.

  • Build strong relationships across risk, control, technology, data governance, and business teams to support consistent and efficient execution across the firm.

  • Help maintain the team resources and communication channels that keep partners informed and connected.

We welcome candidates who combine data governance knowledge with the ability to work across business and technology teams. The qualifications below distinguish the capabilities needed on day one from experience that can further strengthen your application.
