ADL's International Affairs team is looking for a dynamic intern to join us from September 14 to December 18, 2026. The ideal candidate will have experience with research, writing, and database management, as well as a strong interest in international relations and global affairs. Our International Affairs internship provides the opportunity for students to gain practical experience with monitoring global developments relevant to ADL's mission, managing diplomatic relationship databases and supporting outreach to the diplomatic corps, and conducting research and analysis on international partnerships.

Responsibilities

- →Assist with the daily tasks of the International Affairs team in New York and Washington, DC, including the monitoring of global news and social media, and preparation of digests and policy memos, and fact-checking.
- →Undertake database maintenance to support ongoing projects
- →Undertake assigned research and writing tasks to support ongoing projects.
- →Assist with event management and updating of contact lists.
- →Provide assistance to other members of the International Affairs team.
Requirements
~1 min read- Must possess high school diploma or equivalent
- Passion for non-profit work
- Desire to start building career within non-profit sector
- Commitment to ADL’s global mission
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated research skills
- Good command of office software and social media
- Detail oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- A working knowledge of a language other than English a plus
- Experience with remote and/or international work preferred
- Familiarity with issues related to antisemitism and global affairs preferred
- Students majoring or minoring in Political Science, International Relations, History, Jewish Studies, Area Studies, or relating subjects preferred.

- Creative and innovative; takes initiative and is results-oriented – a problem solver (versus a problem identifier)
- Excels in dynamic environments that require adaptability and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
