Software Engineer/Developer, Staff Principal

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.

• →Work with DoD Civilians, USN Fleet Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Industry and other contractors in the planning and execution of trainer development using simulation technologies.
• →Maintain expert level understanding of generating Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) & Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR) imagery using the Boeing Multi-Mode Radar Simulation (MMRS) in conjunction with Aechelon Image Generators (IG).
• →Ensure geospatial raster and vector data are properly handled by a map server to accurately display geospatial visuals and behavior to system operators.
• →Performs analysis, diagnostics and preliminary evaluations of RADAR simulation applications to support customer training efforts.
• →Support integration effort to identify and resolve performance issues, enhancements, and defect resolution for all aspects of the simulation.

• Bachelor's degree and 13+ years of related work experience
• US Citizenship & a minimum of a current TOP SECRET clearance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Expert level experience in at least three of the following: Next Generation Threat System (NGTS), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) & Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR), Boeing Multi-Mode Radar Simulation (MMRS),  Aechelon Image Generators (IG)
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
