AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. This position is on site, Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. -4:30 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at a medical system testing facility in Chantilly VA.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Support engineering solutions and provide hands-on customer support
- →Engage face to face and virtually with end users on solving a variety of technical challenges
- →Coordinate with DHA system admin personnel to ensure that remotely provided services (e.g., SCCM, Active Directory, etc.) are properly configured and deployed.
- →Support AoAs in infrastructure modernization and automation
- →Serve as a stakeholder for hosting test events at a Government medical testing lab
- →Verify conduct of patches, upgrades, and modifications of MS Windows and Linux systems
- →Establish and maintain procedural documentation and KB articles and share knowledge through training and mentorship of team members
- →Work with a team of driven, supportive and highly skilled professionals.
- →Support customer tickets in a lab environment
- →Account management and group policy experience using MS Active Directory
- →Analyze AD Group Policy Objects (GPO) and settings
- →Analyze ACAS scan results and interpret DoD STIGs in coordination with Cyber Security staff
- →Ability to prioritize and manage tasks to accomplish goals on a given timeline
- →Experience managing and mitigating system security risks
- →Virtualization experience using VMware / vSphere
- →Ability to provide general technical support for both hardware and software
Requirements
~1 min read- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 3 months
- Familiarity with Cisco Systems including switches, and routers
- 2-4 years of experience in MS systems administration and working on complex systems and software programs and networks
- Experience leading or supporting Analysis of Alternative (AoA) exercises
- Experience working within a disciplined, process based SDLC
- Experience in the DoD healthcare sector
- vCenter experience
- Excellent communications skills, including interacting with DoD customers, facility users, and facility support contractors.
- Ability to prioritize and manage tasks to accomplish goals on a given timeline.
- Ability to interpret, communicate, and apply operational and security procedures; ability to propose improvements to same.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with a team-oriented mindset and a high degree of integrity.
