As part of the e-business team, the e-business Underwriting Assistant will liaise with Underwriters, Product Leads, IT and external stakeholders including brokers, buyer groups, network operation units and Steadfast in order to provide technical and administrative support across Berkley’s online portal business.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide administrative and first-level broker support for E-Business platforms, including bindIT and SCTP.
- →Manage broker portal registrations, user access requests, transfers, and account maintenance.
- →Respond to broker and stakeholder enquiries via phone, email, and portal mailboxes.
- →Support lead management activities, including follow-up and conversion of qualified opportunities.
- →Maintain broker, portal, and allocation data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- →Produce policy documentation, reports, and other business correspondence as required.
- →Coordinate transfer processing and broker migration activities.
- →Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high levels of customer service.
- →Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
- →Support system enhancements, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives across E-Business platforms.
- →Work collaboratively with the E-Business team to drive adoption and optimisation of digital trading solutions.
Requirements

Essential;
- HSC
- Minimum 1+ years admin or retail customer facing experience
- Excellent communication skills with outstanding telephone call handling capability
- Ability to handle high volume workload
- Ability to identify and describe technical issues
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Desired;
- Certificate in administration or related business study (preferred)
- Insurance industry experience (advantageous)
