Aptive seeks a skilled HR Specialist to support the Veterans Health Administration’s (VHA) RISE Implementation initiative by assisting with workforce-related activities. This role will focus on supporting workforce planning, data collection, and analysis to inform organizational restructuring efforts. The specialist will assist in gathering and validating workforce data, documenting current staffing models, and supporting readiness assessments to evaluate workforce alignment with the new organizational structure across VHACO and VISNs.
Responsibilities
~1 min readIn support of implementation, the HR Specialist will contribute to workforce transition activities, including supporting personnel realignment efforts, tracking workforce changes, and maintaining staffing models and workforce trackers. Responsibilities include assisting in analyzing workforce impacts of organizational changes, supporting coordination with functional leads, and helping identify workforce-related risks, gaps, and dependencies. The specialist will also support development of implementation tools, such as checklists and trackers, and contribute to ensuring workforce considerations are integrated into broader implementation planning and execution.
The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of human resources principles, workforce planning, and organizational structures, with strong analytical and communication skills. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency in data analysis tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
~1 min read- 6 years of federal HR experience.
- HS/GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Consulting experience supporting large, complex Cabinet-level federal agencies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
