Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Fixed Plant Mechanical Superintendent is responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of mechanical maintenance activities across the Blackwater Mine processing facility. This role provides leadership to supervisors, planners, reliability specialists, trades personnel, and contractors to ensure plant assets achieve targeted safety, availability, reliability, and production objectives.

The Fixed Plant Mechanical Superintendent drives maintenance performance through effective work management, reliability programs, shutdown planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Process Control, and Health & Safety teams, the successful candidate will support asset performance, operational excellence, and the achievement of production targets.

Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On - Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation

• →Lead the safe, reliable, and cost-effective execution of fixed plant mechanical maintenance activities.
• →Drive plant availability and performance through effective maintenance planning, scheduling, reliability improvement, and shutdown execution.
• →Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, tradespeople, and contractors while fostering a strong safety and accountability culture.
• →Monitor maintenance KPIs, lead root cause investigations, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• →Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to achieve production and maintenance objectives.
• →Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and critical risk management procedures.
• →Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.
• →May be required to maintain a clean-shaven appearance (i.e. no facial hair) to ensure the safe and effective use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) associated with assigned duties.
• →Other duties as required.

• Red Seal Millwright preferred; Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology credentials are considered an asset.
• 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role within mining, mineral processing, heavy industrial, or manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience leading maintenance teams, shutdowns, and reliability-focused maintenance programs in large processing facilities.
• Strong understanding of crushing systems, SAG and ball mills, conveyors, pumps and piping systems, thickening and filtration equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and process plant maintenance best practices.
• Strong knowledge of asset management principles and CMMS platforms such as SAP, Maximo, or Pronto.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, problem-solving, budgeting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation
• Comfortable working and living in close quarters with the team
• Ability to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift
• Ability to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
