About the Role
~1 min readWe’re looking for a Senior Analytics Manager to take ownership of our UK & EU analytics strategy and reporting ecosystem - ensuring that the insights driving our commercial, product, and operational decisions are accurate, timely, and deeply actionable.
You’ll be hands-on with SQL, Python, dbt, and modern BI platforms, building data models, designing self-serve analytics, and translating complex data into strategic business recommendations. This is a technical leadership role managing three direct reports to start, offering the opportunity to shape how insights empower teams across our international operations. You will be accountable for Analytics operating as a proactive decision partner, setting priorities, developing the team, and ensuring analytical capacity is directed toward the highest-value business decisions.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →
Own the UK & EU analytics strategy - Set the analytical agenda, priorities and operating model, ensuring the team focuses on the decisions and opportunities with the greatest business impact.
- →
Partner with senior leadership - Act as a trusted analytical partner to UK and European leaders, proactively identifying risks, opportunities and questions where data can materially improve an outcome.
- →
Create clarity around business performance - Establish a consistent view across acquisition, conversion, retention and revenue, moving quickly from what changed, to why it changed, to what the business should do next.
- →
Lead and develop a high-performing team - Manage and coach a team of analysts, creating clear ownership, developing independent problem-solvers, and setting a high bar for analytical rigour, communication and commercial impact.
- →
Drive prioritisation and accountability - Balance competing stakeholder demands, make explicit trade-offs, and distinguish genuine capacity constraints from work that should be simplified, automated, self-served or stopped.
- →
Build scalable, trusted analytics - Drive common metric definitions, decision-focused dashboards, semantic models and self-service capabilities so teams can answer more questions independently and analytical impact can scale without linear headcount growth.
- →
Support European growth - Ensure new products, brands and markets launch with clear success metrics, leading indicators, diagnostic views and measurement plans, while reusing common approaches rather than rebuilding analytics market by market.
- →
Partner across the global data organisation - Work closely with Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Platform and other Hims & Hers data leaders to align definitions, standards and reusable capabilities, avoiding local duplication where global solutions already exist.
- →
Increase leverage through AI - Use AI and modern analytics tooling to accelerate analysis, improve self-service and shift analyst time toward judgement, diagnosis and higher-value decision support.
-
Experience - 7-8+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, or product analytics roles, including at least 2 years of direct team management experience. You have operated as the accountable analytics partner for a business area, market or senior leadership group.
-
Strong analytical foundations - You are technically credible, with advanced SQL and sufficient statistical and analytical depth to challenge senior analytical work, unpack the methodology and identify when a conclusion is not supported by the evidence.
-
Commercial and product judgement - You can turn broad business questions into structured analytical frameworks and connect findings to business economics, customer behaviour and consequential decisions.
-
Executive stakeholder influence - You have a track record of building trust with senior leaders, constructively challenging requests and assumptions, and influencing decisions rather than simply supplying analysis.
-
People leadership - You have developed strong analysts, set clear expectations, raised performance standards and handled difficult performance or prioritisation decisions when required.
-
Excellent prioritisation - You create clarity in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and are comfortable saying no, not yet, or there is a better way when demand exceeds capacity.
-
Builder mindset - You improve the system around the team through common definitions, reusable analysis, self-service, tooling and clear ownership rather than solving every problem with another dashboard or additional headcount.
-
Modern analytics experience - You are comfortable with modern warehouses, transformation tooling and BI platforms such as BigQuery, dbt and Sigma/Looker or equivalents. You understand semantic modelling and data quality well enough to partner effectively with engineering teams, but this is an Analytics leadership role rather than a Data Engineering role.
-
Forward-looking approach - You understand how AI and automation are changing Analytics and have a pragmatic view of where they can materially increase team and stakeholder leverage.
UK and European leadership see Analytics as part of how they run the business, not a service they call after a question appears.
Your team understands the decisions its stakeholders are making, catches important changes early, explains their drivers clearly and influences what happens next. At the same time, you are building an analytics model that scales across markets through common definitions, trusted data, effective self-service and strong integration with the wider Hims & Hers data organisation.
At Eucalyptus, we value individuals from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, and we embrace the unique qualities each person brings.
