The Guest Relations Attendant/Screener is responsible for providing exceptional customer service. In this high profile role it is crucial to provide a good first impression by greeting everyone who enters the lobby. The Attendant is responsible for providing visitor passes and giving accurate directions. Must be able to work in stressful circumstances and maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance. Able to anticipate the needs of each patient/visitor. The attendant is responsible for screening patients, staff and visitors for temperature and virus symptoms.  

Greet all individuals entering and exiting the hospital lobby in a professional and welcoming manner.Verify identification for visitors, patients, vendors, team members, and physicians.Issue visitor passes to individuals without a Beebe Medical Center badge or RepTrax-generated badge.Confirm patient and visitor destinations and provide accurate directions throughout the facility.Conduct temperature screenings and symptom screening questionnaires in accordance with established protocols.Provide masks to individuals entering the facility who do not have one.Serve as the first point of contact for the Medical Center, ensuring exceptional customer service through professional appearance, communication, and behavior.Act as a reliable resource for patients, visitors, and staff by providing assistance and information as needed.Adhere to departmental and hospital policies regarding dress code, cell phone usage, and customer service standards.Anticipate and respond to patient and visitor needs, including:

• →Assisting with wheelchair transport.
• →Escorting patients and visitors to their destinations.
• →Providing physical support when appropriate.

Communicate routine information regarding hospital departments, meetings, team members, and patient locations in accordance with hospital policies.Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements.Demonstrate the ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations.Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address patient and visitor concerns.Respond appropriately to emergency situations and lobby incidents following established protocols.Notify destination departments of patients who do not pass screening requirements and follow appropriate procedures.Advise team members who fail screening requirements on next steps according to protocol.Educate and direct visitors who do not pass screening requirements in accordance with established guidelines.Maintain required screening and operational records accurately and timely.Monitor and replenish supplies necessary for daily operations.Properly maintain departmental equipment and supplies, including thermometers and screening tools.Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment by keeping workspaces neat and free of debris.Provide valet parking services when required, including parking, retrieving, and delivering customer vehicles.Operate customer vehicles safely and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and operational needs.

• One year customer service experience.
• Must have excellent communication and public relations skills.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills.
• Able to handle stressful situations.
• Must be able to push patients/visitors in wheelchairs to their destinations.
• Valid Delaware driver's license required with no more than one at fault accident of any type in the last three years and/or no more than three moving violations in the last three years.
• May be required to cover other locations.
