About the Role

At Boston Pizza Milton, we're looking for an energetic, responsible, and people-focused Front of House Supervisor to help lead our Front of House team and ensure every shift runs smoothly.

As an FOH Supervisor, you'll work closely with the Management team to oversee day-to-day Front of House operations, support Servers, Hosts, Bartenders, and other FOH team members, and ensure our Guests receive exceptional hospitality from the moment they arrive until they leave.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working alongside their team, can remain calm under pressure, and is ready to take the next step in their restaurant career.

Responsibilities

As an FOH Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead and support the Front of House team during assigned shifts.
  • Set clear expectations for service, hospitality, cleanliness, and teamwork.
  • Lead by example and actively work alongside the team during service.
  • Monitor the overall flow of the restaurant and make adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure Servers, Hosts, Bartenders, and other FOH team members are positioned for success.
  • Support the Manager on Duty with day-to-day restaurant operations.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures as required.
  • Ensure all Front of House standards and procedures are consistently followed.
  • Ensure every Guest receives friendly, attentive, and professional service.
  • Monitor the dining room and proactively identify opportunities to improve the Guest experience.
  • Handle Guest questions, concerns, and service issues professionally and promptly.
  • Empower team members to resolve Guest concerns when appropriate.
  • Follow up with Guests to ensure concerns have been properly addressed.
  • Recognize opportunities to create memorable Guest experiences.
  • Champion the Boston Pizza "Foundations of Hospitality."
  • Coach, mentor, and support FOH team members during every shift.
  • Provide real-time feedback and recognition.
  • Help new team members learn Boston Pizza service standards and procedures.
  • Reinforce expectations around hospitality, teamwork, cleanliness, and professionalism.
  • Identify training opportunities and communicate them to Management.
  • Encourage team members to continuously improve their skills and performance.
  • Help create a positive, respectful, accountable, and fun workplace culture.
  • Monitor table turns, Guest flow, wait times, and overall dining room efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Host team to manage seating and Guest flow.
  • Work closely with Servers and Bartenders to maintain smooth service.
  • Communicate effectively with the Kitchen and Management teams.
  • Monitor restaurant cleanliness and ensure FOH areas remain organized throughout the shift.
  • Ensure tables, dining areas, washrooms, Host stand, and other Guest-facing areas meet cleanliness standards.
  • Monitor product availability and communicate shortages or operational concerns to Management.
  • Assist with inventory, cash handling, and administrative responsibilities when required.
  • Ensure team members follow Boston Pizza food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Reinforce proper handling of food, beverages, and equipment.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service practices are followed at all times.
  • Verify that required certifications and legal service requirements are being followed.
  • Report safety, food safety, or operational concerns to Management immediately.
  • Support compliance with Boston Pizza standards and applicable regulations.
  • Conduct or assist with shift meetings and communicate daily priorities.
  • Communicate promotions, operational updates, Guest concerns, and important information to the FOH team.
  • Monitor team performance and address issues promptly and professionally.
  • Provide Management with accurate feedback regarding shift performance and team member development.
  • Assist with resolving operational challenges before they impact the Guest experience.
  • Maintain clear communication between Front of House, Kitchen, and Management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Server, Bartender, Host, or other Front of House restaurant position is required.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
  • Previous Boston Pizza experience or familiarity with Boston Pizza systems, menu items, and brand standards is considered a strong asset.
  • Smart Serve Certification is required.
  • Strong Guest service and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and support team members.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both Front of House and Kitchen teams.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
