Reporting to our Manager, Human Resources, our Regional People Partners serve as a trusted advisor to French and English-speaking leaders and employees across a designated regional portfolio. Partnering closely with business leaders, this role provides strategic people guidance and supports organizational success through effective employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness. The role ensures alignment with company values, policies, and applicable employment legislation while fostering a positive and high-performing employee experience.

 

 

  • Serve as the primary People Partner for an assigned bilingual (French and English) regional portfolio, building strong partnerships with leaders and employees through proactive, practical, and business-focused guidance.
  • Advise and coach leaders on employee relations matters, including but not limited to performance management, conflict resolution, workplace accommodations, attendance management, progressive discipline, and workplace concerns.
  • Support people-related decision-making to ensure alignment with business objectives, company values, policies, and applicable employment legislation.
  • Partner with leaders to strengthen team effectiveness through talent development, workforce planning, and employee engagement strategies.
  • Manage and support the resolution of employee concerns and workplace issues, including conducting or assisting with investigations, responding to complaints, and partnering with internal stakeholders and external resources as required.
  • In collaboration with the Benefits team, support with benefits administration, employee leaves, return-to-work planning, accommodations, wellness initiatives and CNESST-related matters in Quebec.
  • Foster an inclusive and engaged workplace culture through coaching, partnership, and the consistent application of people programs and policies.
  • Partner with leaders and the Talent Acquisition team to support recruitment, talent selection, onboarding, and workforce planning.
  • Provide guidance on internal mobility, succession planning, employee development, and career progression.
  • Support the delivery of performance and talent management programs across the assigned region.
  • Support leaders in identifying, developing, and retaining talent to build engaged and high-performing teams.
  • Support initiatives that foster an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing workplace culture.
  • Analyze people data and trends to recommend solutions that enhance employee experience and business performance.
  • Support change management initiatives and the implementation of People & Talent programs, initiatives, and projects.
  • Support key employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, development, transfers, leaves and offboarding.
  • Partner with Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Training, EHS, Legal and other Centers of Excellence to deliver integrated people solutions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with employment standards, human rights legislation, company policies, and internal practices.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive Human Resources experience in an advisory capacity.
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation, employee relations practices, and core HR principles.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and trust at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop practical recommendations.
  • Demonstrated client-service mindset with sound judgment and a proactive approach to resolving people and business challenges.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and organizational information.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with HRIS, ATS, and other HR technologies (SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, and iCIMS) is considered an asset.
  • CHRP or CRHA designation, or progress toward completion, is considered an asset.
