Job Summary CCMSI is seeking an experienced Liability Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve liability claims across multiple commercial accounts and jurisdictions. This is a claims adjuster role responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of low, moderate, and high-complexity liability claims from first notice through resolution. This position supports multiple client programs, including utility and energy-related operations, gas company exposures, amusement park and entertainment operations, and other commercial liability accounts. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong claims handling expertise, demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, and be comfortable managing claims across multiple jurisdictions with varying levels of complexity and litigation exposure.
Responsibilities

- →Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve liability claims in accordance with client requirements and established claim handling standards.
- →Analyze liability, damages, coverage considerations, and exposure issues to support sound claim decisions.
- →Manage a portfolio of low, moderate, and high-complexity liability claims through resolution.
- →Coordinate with claimants, insureds, clients, attorneys, vendors, and other stakeholders throughout the claim process.
- →Maintain accurate claim documentation, reserves, reporting, and diary management.
- →Manage litigated and non-litigated claims while ensuring timely file progression.
- →Deliver responsive and professional customer service while maintaining strong client relationships.
- →Handle claims across multiple accounts and jurisdictions while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and client expectations.
Requirements

- Liability claims handling experience.
- Experience and confidence handling attorney-represented, complex, and litigated files.
- Exposure to significant injury claims involving fractures, surgeries, traumatic brain injuries, or other serious bodily injury allegations is preferred.
- Active adjuster license in at least one applicable jurisdiction or a reciprocal home-state adjuster license that supports obtaining additional state licenses. (Texas, Oklahoma, California, Georgia, Connecticut, Idaho, Iowa, New Hampshire, Kentucky, Arizona, and Nevada)
- Strong investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and claim management skills.
- Ability to manage claims of varying complexity.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work during CCMSI core business hours.
- Experience handling litigated claims.
- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions.
- Multi-line liability claims experience.
- Experience managing claims for multiple client accounts.
- NY Adjusters license is a huge plus.
- Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency — highly valued for communicating with claimants, employers, or vendors, but not required.
- Quality and timeliness of claim investigations.
- Effective claim resolution and documentation.
- Customer service responsiveness and professionalism.
- Compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
- Accuracy of reserves, reporting, and claim file management.
- Productive management of assigned claim inventory.
- Positive collaboration with clients and business partners.

The posted salary reflects CCMSI’s good-faith estimate in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. This role may also qualify for bonuses or additional forms of pay.
