As a Recovery Worker within our Drug and Alcohol Service, you will play a key role in supporting individuals involved in the criminal justice system to reduce substance use, improve wellbeing, and break the cycle of reoffending. Co-located with Police, Probation and prison services, you will work as part of a multi-agency team to provide coordinated, timely, and person-centred interventions for people with complex needs.

The role involves completing comprehensive assessments, developing tailored recovery plans, and delivering structured psychosocial interventions using trauma-informed and motivational approaches. You will support service users to access treatment, harm reduction advice, relapse prevention, and wider recovery opportunities, while also addressing related needs such as housing, mental health, safeguarding, and social stability.

Working closely with partner agencies, you will contribute to risk management and public protection through effective information sharing, joint case planning, and proactive engagement. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact by helping individuals build long-term recovery, increase stability, and reduce offending behaviour.
