As a Floating Support Recovery Worker within Change Grow Live Nottinghamshire, you will work with clients in structured treatment that are entering, or are on a path to enter a housing crisis.

 

You will actively engage with women and the services they need to support improved health, wellbeing, and social inclusion. Providing wrap around support including practical, emotional, and social aspects of preventing homelessness and maintaining a tenancy.

 

About the Role

  • To work county wide across Nottinghamshire
  • Establish effective communication and referral pathways for women who are at risk of homelessness and in contact with other health and care agencies.
  • Provide wrap around support in emergency/temporary/supported accommodations across Nottinghamshire.
  • Manage and prioritise a female specific caseload based on crisis intervention, risk and priority need.
  • Attend relevant multi-disciplinary team meetings supporting links to health and social care services, peer support networks, community assets and mutual aid.
  • Work closely with the local authority, Health & Social care sector, partners and any provision linked to preventing Homelessness and improve joint working.
  • Provide support on budgeting, welfare benefits and income maximisation whilst referring on to specialist providers such as; education, training and employment advise
  • An understanding and knowledge of the harmful effects associated with drug and alcohol use in relation to health, social welfare, housing, employment and personal relationships
  • Experience of supporting and advising women with complex and/or multiple barriers to success
  • Minimum of 12 months experience facilitating successful tenancy sustainment and working to achieve positive community connections
  • Experience and knowledge of Domestic Abuse, Sexual Abuse and Sex work
  • The ability to work with and manage challenging behaviour
  • An understanding and knowledge of the harmful effects associated with drug and alcohol use in relation to health, social welfare, housing, employment and personal relationships.
  • Ability to travel throughout Nottinghamshire effectively
  • 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays. Additionally, you'll receive one extra day of annual leave for each year of service during your first five years, therefore you will enjoy 30 days of leave after five years with us.
