We are seeking a motivated and adaptable professional to join our countywide team, delivering innovative group and pod work programmes across Northamptonshire. As a Group Facilitator Recovery Worker will focus on developing and facilitating evidence-based group interventions that support service users with the issues most relevant to their needs, while also involving occasional case work where required. Working collaboratively with programme facilitators and wider professionals, you will bring a creative, solution-focused approach and a willingness to think beyond traditional methods to achieve positive outcomes. The successful candidate will be confident in group work delivery, flexible in supporting services across the county, and able to travel throughout Northamptonshire, with access to a car or the ability to travel efficiently between hubs being essential.
About the Role
~1 min read- Provide unwavering support to service users from their initial contact with our servicethroughout their treatment and recovery journey.
- Implement tailored interventions aimed at reducing the harm caused by opiate use, either through group sessions or one-on-one engagement.
- Ensure service users receive a comprehensive, recovery-focused plan, including pre-detox preparation and post-care support.
- Research, design and prepare subject matter and materials for groups/pods.
- Engage with debriefing and evaluations with co-facilitator/s after groups/pods have taken place.
- Lead on graduation events for service users who have completed the programme.
- Review service user feedback and make adjustments as necessary.
- Tailor specific workshops around the needs of the SUs, such as: anger management, sleep disorders, relationships, etc.
- Research and confirm community venues as needed
- Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behaviour.
- Experience of Motivational Interviewing and Psycho Social Interventions.
- Ability to identify the specific needs of groups.
- Understanding of evidence based interventions in a group work setting.
- Qualification in counselling, group-work or equivalent.
- Experience of working with psychological trauma.
