Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Must be able to work in a kid-friendly environment
- →Understand Chord’s policy on working with health benefit plans and be prepared to educate patients on their specific benefits
- →Work with the Doctor to diagnose and prepare treatment plans, assist the patient in prioritizing treatment, and present treatment fees and discuss financial arrangements with patients.
- →Contact patients/parents to schedule treatment and/or discuss payment options for Medicaid approvals/denials, private insurance patients, and self-pay patients
- →Notify patients of co-payments and co-payment requirements upon scheduling
- →Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Requirements
~1 min read- 1-2 years previous orthodontic experience
- A broad-based understanding of the orthodontic treatment process
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be available to travel between locations to meet operational needs
Preferred, but not required:
- Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills/knowledge, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Familiarity with Cloud9
- Experience working with various medical/dental insurance plans including Medicaid
