Town and Country Resort is looking for a Loss Prevention Supervisor to help create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our Team Members, guests, and property.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is comfortable being visible throughout the resort, responding to incidents, supporting the Loss Prevention team, and working closely with hotel leadership and other departments. Starting rate $25 per hour. #towncountrySD

Responsibilities

  • →Supervise and support Loss Prevention Officers during assigned shifts.
  • →Maintain a visible presence throughout the resort, including guest areas, back-of-house areas, parking areas, and meeting spaces.
  • →Respond promptly and professionally to guest, Team Member, and property-related incidents.
  • →Conduct and document investigations involving theft, property damage, safety concerns, accidents, disturbances, and other incidents.
  • →Prepare accurate and timely incident reports and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • →Monitor security systems, access points, CCTV, alarms, and other Loss Prevention equipment.
  • →Assist with emergency response procedures, including fire/life safety situations and other emergencies.
  • →Work closely with hotel leadership, People Services, Engineering, Front Office, Housekeeping, and other departments when security or safety concerns arise.
  • →Assist with investigations involving Team Members while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
  • →Monitor resort activity and identify potential safety, security, or loss-prevention concerns.
  • →Support the implementation and enforcement of resort safety and security procedures.
  • →Assist with training Loss Prevention Officers and other Team Members on safety, security, and emergency procedures.
  • →Provide direction and support during large meetings, conventions, special events, and high-occupancy periods.
  • →Conduct regular patrols and security checks of the property.
  • →Respond appropriately to situations involving disruptive behavior, unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or other potential threats.
  • →Complete shift logs, reports, inspections, and other required documentation.
  • →Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

This position requires regular walking and standing throughout the resort and may require responding quickly to different areas of the property. The position may also involve sitting, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, and occasionally assisting with emergency situations.

  • Previous experience in hotel security, loss prevention, public safety, or a related field.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies or challenging situations.
  • Good judgment and the ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Ability to write clear, accurate, and objective reports.
  • Comfortable interacting with guests, Team Members, leaders, vendors, and emergency personnel.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple situations in a busy resort environment.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn security and hotel systems.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or the ability to obtain certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as needed.
