Food Service Specialist
Quick Summary

Prepares and serves all food items including food for special diets and special events. Responsible for following regulatory requirements. Assists with coordination of food service activities.
- Service Delivery- Demonstrates the ability to implement, develop, and manage a variety of services, including financial, food, human resources, information, and transportation services. Ensures all services are delivered with a focus on quality, cost-effectiveness, measurable outcomes, and continuous improvement. Applies corrective actions as needed and incorporates best practices and innovative approaches to service delivery.
- Food Service Integrity- Maintains strict adherence to all regulatory and safety standards. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing kitchen utensils, equipment, and all food service areas, including serving lines, storage spaces, and dining areas.
- Food Service Nutrition and Sanitation - Supports a safe and healthy environment for clients and staff by maintaining high sanitation standards and ensuring compliance with nutritional guidelines established by the USDA and Bureau of Child Nutrition.

- 1 year experience in food preparation required.
- School cafeteria or school lunch program experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license must be maintained.
