About the Role

DMI is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support the Federal Program. The Project Manager will lead cross-functional technology initiatives, coordinate project planning and execution, manage vendor and partner relationships, and ensure successful delivery of program objectives. This role serves as the primary interface between Government stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and in compliance with contractual, operational, and Federal governance requirements.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple IT projects by overseeing project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, resource planning, and overall delivery to achieve program objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Government stakeholders, vendors, and external partners, facilitating collaboration, communication, and executive-level stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate project planning, execution, and governance activities, including project schedules, milestones, deliverables, risk management, and status reporting across cross-functional teams.
  • Manage vendor and partner performance, including SLA compliance, deliverable tracking, performance scorecards, contract coordination, procurement support, and onboarding/offboarding activities.
  • Facilitate project governance meetings, executive reviews, vendor synchronization meetings, and steering committee sessions while documenting decisions, action items, and follow-up activities.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, maintaining the project risk register and escalating critical issues to Government leadership and Program Management.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including business, infrastructure, application development, cybersecurity, QA, DevSecOps, and external vendors, to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
  • Monitor project performance using key metrics and dashboards, providing regular reports on schedule, budget, resource utilization, vendor performance, project health, and customer satisfaction.
  • Support release planning, organizational change management, and operational readiness activities, ensuring successful implementation of new capabilities with minimal business disruption.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal project management standards, contract requirements, security policies, and organizational governance processes, while driving continuous process improvements and delivery excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field required
  • Minimum 8 years of federal IT program management experience, with at least 3 years managing multi-vendor environments
  • Experience managing complex, multi-vendor federal IT contracts in a health IT or grants management environment
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills; ability to facilitate executive-level Government meetings and produce formal documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Jira, SharePoint, and standard federal reporting formats
