DMI, LLC is seeking a Unix/Linux Administrator to join our team.

As a Unix/Linux Administrator, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Linux-based systems for. Combining your knowledge of RHEL, cloud platforms, Oracle Linux, you will ensure our systems are stable, secure, and performant. Your responsibilities will include end-to-end management of our Linux environment and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical applications.

• →Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, etc.).
• →Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
• →Expertise in shell scripting (Bash, Python, etc.) and troubleshooting.
• →Experience with version control tools like Git.
• →Understanding of system security best practices and tools.
• →Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• →Demonstrated ability to complete technical projects independently.
• →Strong problem-solving skills, along with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• →Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers and systems (RedHat).
• →Manage system performance, monitoring, backups, and troubleshooting.
• →Ensure system security by configuring to CIS recommended baselines and applying patches and updates.
• →Collaborate with the other operations teams to configure environments and troubleshoot system-related issues.
• →Monitor and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues in a timely manner.
• →Perform routine system upgrades, patching, and security compliance checks.
• →Provide troubleshooting and technical support for escalated issues.
• →Resolve incidents and tasks as assigned.
• →Provide emergency response to critical outages or incidents.
• →Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for internal use.

Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US citizenship may be required for some positions.

• Candidate must be able to meet DoD IAT Level 2 Certification requirements (Currently Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP)
• Not required, but desired a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC-2) and CompTIA Linux+.
