Ed Morse is currently seeking a Certified Automotive Service Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →As a Technician you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver.
- →Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
- →Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
- →Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
- →Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
- →Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
- →Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
Requirements
~1 min read- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Certified preferred.
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
- Must be willing to submit to a background check, DMV screen, and drug screen
- Previous franchise dealership experience
- CDJR Phase 3 training completed — strongly preferred
- Technicians with advanced training from Ford, GM, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, or other major OEMs are encouraged to apply
- Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to diagnose complex drivability, electrical, engine, transmission, and HVAC concerns
- Ability to accurately document repairs and communicate diagnostic findings
- Comfortable working on both newer and late-model vehicles
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Strong attendance and dependable work ethic
- Must provide your own professional hand tools
