Craft - Ironworker (Surrey-Langley Skytrain extension project)

Here is your opportunity to join RDLC. We are actively recruiting for Ironworkers of all levels of experience to join us on our Surrey-Langley Skytrain project. As an Ironworker, you will play a crucial role in the installation of structural and miscellaneous steel, working under the guidance of a Foreman. Your expertise, hard work, and adherence to safety standards will be vital in ensuring that works are completed successfully.

• →Assist in the installation of structural and miscellaneous steel under the supervision of a Foreman.
• →Position and secure steel bars or metal mesh in concrete forms to reinforce concrete structures
• →Unload and position steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed
• →Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• →Use hand and power tools to cut, weld, and assemble steel components.
• →Follow all safety protocols
• →Collaborate with team members, maintaining effective communication and a positive attitude.
• →Perform routine inspections of tools and equipment, ensuring functionality and safety.
• →Other duties as assigned by the Foreman or other supervisory staff.

• Rigging
• Telehandler
• Confined space
• WHMIS

Schedule

• Shifts vary and weekends may be required.
• Average of 50-60 hours a week.
• This Project is being executed under a Project Labour Agreement. All successful candidates for this role will need to sign up with the IW97 union.
• Benefits will be provided by the union as per respective collective agreements.
