Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Support survey control network activities, including setting up tripods, tribrachs, prisms, and assisting with monument installation.
- →Assist the Surveyor and Crew Leader with daily field survey operations.
- →Support layout and staking activities for earthworks, utilities, and structural elements.
- →Set up, operate, and maintain survey instruments under supervision (total stations, GNSS, digital levels).
- →Assist with field measurements, data collection, and basic field calculations.
- →Maintain accurate field notes and documentation.
- →Help manage, organize, and care for survey equipment and materials.
- →Follow instructions from the Surveyor to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- →Support general site coordination activities as required.
- →Adhere to project safety standards and QA/QC procedures.
- Diploma or Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field (preferred).
- No prior work experience required; previous field or co-op experience will be considered an asset.
- Basic understanding of surveying principles and ability to read construction drawings.
- Willingness to work outdoors in an active construction environment.
- Ability to work in exposed outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures.
- Physical ability to perform job duties in an active construction environment, including lifting and carrying equipment.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety.
