At Kane McKeesport, you'll have the opportunity to work as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team serving a geriatric population while developing meaningful relationships with the residents you treat.

Responsibilities

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you'll work under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to help residents improve their ability to safely and independently participate in everyday activities.

Your responsibilities may include:

Providing skilled occupational therapy interventions according to the established plan of care
→
Helping residents improve strength, mobility, coordination and functional independence
→
Addressing activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, bathing and self-care
→
Monitoring patient progress and communicating changes with the supervising Occupational Therapist
→
Educating and supporting residents, families and caregivers
→
Collaborating with PT, OT, SLP, nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
→
Completing documentation accurately and timely
→
Helping residents work toward meaningful functional goals and greater independence

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current or eligible Pennsylvania COTA licensure
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A collaborative, patient-centered approach
Interest in working with older adults in a rehabilitation setting
