Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months relevant experience.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Designing, implementing and maintaining quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into finished products, the Senior Quality Engineer will have the opportunity to help our nation’s heroes make a true impact. You’ll design methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Solid knowledge of engineering (i.e., software, electrical, systems, etc.) methodologies, tools, and standards
• Solid knowledge of ISO 9001:2008, CMMI, ISO 14001ASME, ANSI, EIA, etc.
• Solid knowledge of use of relevant inspection/measurement tools and techniques

• Outstanding communication skills — very solid written and verbal communications — to work proactively with a project team and interact with our customers
• Ability to think creatively and multi-task across project reviews, technical design reviews, and technical peer reviews
• A high degree of motivation and persistence when working through problems of moderate scope
• Very solid skills in reviewing documents, drawings, and instructions for conformance to requirements techniques
• Very solid knowledge of contract language (including FARs, DFARs, etc.) and Government regulations
• Understanding of configuration management, change management, and contract quality requirements flow down to suppliers/sub-contractors
• Experience with the following:
  • First Article Inspections
  • Root Cause Tools
  • Corrective Action Initiatives
  • Process Improvement
  • Stock Sweeps
• Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
