Requirements
~1 min readBachelor's degree in Logistics, Management or Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Ensure design interface between engineering and other disciplines is maintained throughout the program life-cycle to embed supportability into the program/product.
- →Manage the coordination of activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing, potentially without any subordinate employees.
- →Supervise your staff.
- →Hire employees to support the business workload demands.
- →Participate in the development of program and teaming strategies as they relate to assigned tasks.
- →Coordinate inputs from technical experts to craft technical input for proposals.
- →Lead discussions across engineering domains to assess impacts on requirements from proposed changes.
- →Identify technical and organizational risks, ensuring they are included in the risk management database, and create mitigation plans.
- →Assess risks from other functional areas for impacts on the program.
- →Mentor and develop employees.
- →Collaborate with other Managers and Program Managers to define and review team material and products.
- →Understand and support schedule and budgets management through the use of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
- →Direct workflow to meet program and customer delivery requirements.
- →Develop technical and cost inputs to proposals.
- →Regularly communicate with project customers, project teams, and internal management including but not limited to local Navy Program Management Office (PMO).
- →Travel may be required.
- →Direct those involved in the design, modification, and evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products.
- →Promote the use of new technologies and industry-leading trends.
- →Follow processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- →Develop and administer schedules and performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of engineering elements and processes.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate experienced technical staff.
- Ability to bridge communication across a team.

- Expertise in various engineering software applications.
- Understands Strategic Systems Programs’ development and support programs
- Strong documentation and curricula development skills including technical content and procedure authoring, training and curriculum development
